Why bumblebees

Bumble bees have been bred in controlled conditions since 1987 in Belgium and since 1988 in Holland.

Bumblebees are more effective than any other pollinator or method of pollinating:

• Their bodies make the buzz effect – vibrations of 400Hz that are important for fertilization in tomato flower.They fly faster from flower to flower.
• They fly under all kinds of weather conditions.
• They are available during the whole year.
• They are not threatened by parasites.
• Only a bumble bee can pollinate with enough certainty and quality.
